Key Box - Wall-Mounted Lockable Key Cabinets

A key box gives every key its own numbered hook behind a lock, so an office, property or facility managing dozens of keys never has to guess which one opens what. Oddpod's range runs from 20 to 105 slots across the Number Lock, Aluminum and Smart Key Box lines, plus a compact Key Safe Box for just a spare house or car key. Trusted by offices and homes across India.

What is a key box?

A key box is a wall-mounted, lockable cabinet with individual numbered hooks inside, built for managing multiple sets of keys at once. Instead of a drawer full of loose, unlabelled keys, each one hangs on its own numbered hook, and the whole cabinet locks so only whoever holds the code or the key can get to them.

Shop key boxes by lock type

Oddpod key boxes come with three different locking mechanisms. Pick the one that suits how the keys get used:

  • Number Lock Key Box (combination): 20 to 105 slots in powder-coated iron, locking with a 3-digit number combination rather than a physical key you can lose. Suits offices, shops and facilities tracking multiple sets of keys.
  • Aluminum Key Box (physical key): 24 and 32 slots in a scratch-resistant aluminium finish, secured by a cylinder lock supplied with two keys, including a spare. Choose this if you would rather hold a key than remember a code.
  • Smart Key Box (electronic keypad): 24 or 48 slots with an electronic keypad instead of a numbered dial.
  • Key Safe Box: a compact standalone box with a 4-digit combination, sized for a handful of keys rather than a full set of property keys.

How to choose a key box

Match the slot count and lock to how the keys get used.

  • Managing keys for an office or property? Count your keys and add a few spares' worth of headroom: 20 slots suits a small office, 30 to 48 covers a mid-size property or shop, and 50 to 105 slots suits a facility or building manager tracking many units.
  • Would you rather not remember a code? The Aluminum line uses a cylinder lock with two keys, so access works the same way as any other lock in the building.
  • Sharing access across a team? A combination or keypad model avoids handing physical keys around — the Number Lock uses a 3-digit dial, the Smart Key Box an electronic keypad.
  • Just storing your own spare house or car key? A Key Safe Box is the smaller, simpler option, built for a handful of keys rather than a full cabinet.

Key box FAQs

How many slots does a key box need? Count your keys and add a few spares' worth of headroom: 20 slots suits a small office, 30 to 48 covers a mid-size property or shop, and 50 to 105 slots suits a facility or building manager tracking many units.

Do key boxes lock with a key or a combination? Both options exist. The Number Lock Key Box uses a 3-digit number combination and the Smart Key Box uses an electronic keypad, so there is no physical key to lose. The Aluminum Key Box instead uses a cylinder lock supplied with two keys, for anyone who prefers a conventional key.

What's the difference between a key box and a key safe box? A key box is a wall-mounted cabinet with individual numbered hooks for managing many keys at once, used by offices and facilities. A key safe box is a small standalone combination-lock box sized for a handful of keys, like a spare house or car key you want to store securely at home.

What are the key boxes made of? The Number Lock range is powder-coated iron with a scratch-resistant matte finish. The Aluminum range uses a scratch-resistant aluminium finish.
